From the files of lead autobot scientist Perceptor and lead autobot processor analyst Rung.

Perceptor: Subject was first considered for power core upgrade process when it was discovered that subject's spark and forged internal systems were compatible with the upgrade technology.

Rung: Subject expressed reluctance to undergo the procedure, in spite of assurances that no harm would come to him. Optimus Prime first withheld permission to perform process on subject without his permission, but then rescinded the verdict when subject raised complaints of being under equipped for front line battles. Subject underwent power core process without complications.

Perceptor: Physically, subject shows incredible aptitude for combination, forming one of the sturdiest and most reliably constructed gestalts so far.

Rung: Subject's attitude has not improved since the upgrade, and now complains of "stiffness" in his joints and "slow motor relays" in various parts of his body, blaming his new gestalt status.

Perceptor: Physical examinations of the subjects body, as well as trial runs on all joints and nerve systems show no signs of any complications. Subjects body has, in fact, become stronger and faster in all modes since undergoing power core process.

Rung: Only change in subject's mental state seems to be minor delusions of grandeur when entering into gestalt mode. Subject refers to himself in the third person at all times while forming a gestalt, adopting the name "Huf-for". Subjects speech takes on a simplistic style, somewhat similar to that of Grimlock. Analysis of processor functions while in the gestalt state shows no irregularities. All higher processor functions present in basic robot mode are still present in the gestalt phase. My diagnosis is that the subject's speech impediment is self imposed.

Perceptor: Technical analysis shows that subject has excellent connection ability between primary body and gestalt limbs, able to move them as easily as he would his primary robot mode servos. However, in practice, subject moves with a halting, irregular pattern. This pattern consists of minimal knee movement, and arms outstretched before it at all times while walking. After stopping, subject waits two full seconds to lower arms. My colleague has assured me that the subject's processor is connecting to the drone limbs' servers with exceptional speed, and is fully capable of manipulating all joints with full dexterity.

Rung: Subject is responsive to all ordinary input while in gestalt mode, and, surprisingly, obeys all commands with little or no argument. Manual processor analysis shows that mental resistance to external stimuli is still active in gestalt mode, but that the subject is simply less contrary. However, subject has a tendency to ascribe certain, somewhat demeaning adjectives to all personnel it communicates with while in gestalt mode, most notably "puny". Occasionally, subject has been seen to go on minor rampages, seemingly induced by delusions of grandeur.

Transcript of initial phase testing of subject's gestalt mode:
Subject transforms from vehicle, to robot, to gestalt mode.
Perceptor: "Huffer? How do you feel? Are you activated?"
Subjects optics activate. "Huf-for... activated!"
Perceptor: "Excellent! Huffer, how do you feel? Can you move your limbs? Lift your arm."
Huffer: "Huf-for... Lift... arm!" The subject raises his right arm above his head.
Perceptor: "Good show. Now, walk slowly towards me."
Huffer: "Huf-for... walking!" The subject begins to walk in the previously described halting gate.
Perceptor: "Huffer? Are you having trouble with your lower servos?" (to Rung) "Run a diagnostic, will...?"
Huffer: (Interrupting) "Huf-for smash puny micro-bot!"
Perceptor: "Huffer, what are you doing?"
Huffer: Flails stiffly at Perceptor "Huf-for smash everything! Huf-for am powerful monster! Huf-for find buildings to climb!" The subject falls over in an attempt  to swat aside a diagnostic drone. "Huf-for have fallen and can not get up..."

Perceptor: Subject has, after being confirmed as the strongest power core gestalt created so far, been issued a minicon partner as per Optimus Prime's instructions. The mincion, Caliburst, appears to be quite helpful and, befitting Huffer's powerful status, is one of the strongest and most versatile currently with us. While the subject was initially opposed to the idea of being binary bonded to a minicon, he appears to be warming up to the idea. Caliburst appears to have nearly inexhaustible patience, and does not object to the subject's constant complaints.

Transcript of subject after being combined into gestalt mode with minicon.
Perceptor: "Huffer? Everything okay?"
Huffer: "Huf-for am ultimate now! Huf-for am super mega ultra Huf-for!"
Perceptor: "Can we call you Huf-for for short?"
Huffer: "Super mega ultra Huf-for allows this."
Perceptor: "Right, good. Now, could you please ready your blaster while activating your minicon power link?"
Huffer: "Huf-for prepared to fire!"
The subject then used his arm-mounted blaster to create a hole in the nearest wall, and exited through it. We later located the subject attempting to climb a seventeen story office building.

Rung: Subject appears to be gaining confidence in his abilities, especially while partnered with a minicon. Requests were issued to remove Caliburst from Huffer, but were redacted after witnesses observed the subject enter into a firefight with the decepticon combiner Bruticus, and subsequently convert the battle to melee status, in which the gestalt's handler, Starscream, was forced to order a strategic retreat. My analysis is that the subject's unexpectedly brutal and unrelenting assault contributed more to this outcome of this battle than actual physical force exuded. I will, however, not raise the issue with Optimus Prime. It was a good day.

Rung: Subject's delusions of grandeur appear to have been curbed, if only temporarily. Enclosed is an audio record of a confrontation at the dinobots' energon fountain.
Huffer: "Out of way! Huf-for want drink!"
Slag: "Me Slag say what?"
Huffer: "Huf-for say move it now!"
(sounds of struggle)
Sludge: "This guy have some kind of glitch?"
Grimlock: "What going on here? Who make trouble on dinobot turf?"
Huffer: "Huf-for smash puny dinobots!"
Grimlock: "Me Grimlock say you best check yourself before you wreck yourself."
(sound of metal hitting metal)
Huffer: "Huf-for smash puny Grim- Oh sweet Primus not the face!" (sounds of intense struggle ensue)

Perceptor: My colleague, Wheeljack, has submitted a request to Optimus Prime asking that the subject be binary bonded to more minicons, with an upward limit of five for the time being; "Let's pump the little glitch full of science and see what happens!" So far this request has been denied, but it has been reexamined and is pending approval.
This is just something fun I whipped up while playing with my Power Core Combiners Huffer toy. I love the toy, but I fealt that Huffer's slightly obnoxious personality needed something to make it more fun, and I remembered the character "Tar-Gor" from the comic strip series "Pooch Cafe". Tar-Gor was actually a whiny, elitist bichon frise with a personality very symilar to G1 huffer. However, it would occasionally jump into puddles of liquid tar and assume a monster alter ego known as Tar-Gor. Transformers belongs to Hasbro.

I know, I know. I should be working on "The Touch", and I am. The next chapter will be done... this year? I hope. lol I'll do my best. Thank you for being patient with me.

Did those lines come from Dragon Ball Z abridged?
